Dear Hacienda La Puente Unified Community, 

 

I would like to reflect on our District's celebrations and share several announcements for December and the new year as we wrap up the last month of 2022.

 

In November, Hacienda La Puente Unified honored the accomplishments of our students, hosting trimester awards that acknowledged academic excellence, perfect attendance and outstanding citizenship across campuses.

 

I want to thank our outstanding students, staff and administrators for putting together such beautiful altars for this year's City of La Puente Día de Los Muertos Downtown Festival on Nov. 5. During the event, administrators showcased each school community's individuality by displaying student artwork and murals, and proudly sharing exciting details about our schools with past, present and future students, families and community members.

 

At Hacienda La Puente Unified, we are committed to recruiting the best individuals who help promote a culture of teamwork, fairness and an environment dedicated to student success. I also want to extend my gratitude to every student, teacher, staff and family member that completed our 2022 Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) survey. The LCAP helps ensure we are meeting the needs of the District community and we appreciate your input as we continue to seek ways to improve the programs and services that foster success at HLPUSD. 

 

Lastly, please save the date for the 2023 State of the District event, to be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 19 at the Hacienda Heights Community Center, featuring presentations about the District's successes in 2022. Stay tuned for more information coming to your inbox soon!

 

Hacienda La Puente Unified remains focused on implementing innovative educational opportunities for our students and we look forward to finishing the year off strong.
